Covid-19; psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and mental health

Study summary

This study investigates mental health in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. One in four individuals with psoriasis may feel depressed, which could significantly affect the course of psoriasis and their quality of life. Increased understanding of the role of mental health in psoriasis could help develop more targeted prevention and treatment strategies for those patients.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you are 18-65 years old and are not diagnosed with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis. You must be based in the UK.

What will the research involve?

You will complete questionnaires asking about symptoms of depression, anxiety and emotional experience.

You will be invited to complete the questionnaires again 12 months later. The questionnaires take approximately 35 minutes to complete each time.

Where will the research take place?

You will complete most of the questionnaires online and up to two brief questionnaires by phone.
