Hema Mistry is the Partnerships Manager within Research & Innovation at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, serves on the R&I Senior Management Committee and has over 13 years of working in an NHS setting.
Hema has recently been leading on the redevelopment of the NCA Research Collection in order to allow partners to have ease of access to biomaterial and data, NCA experts and facilities to support scientifically validated and ethically approved biomedical research.
Previous experience involves working in NHS Blood and Transplant as a Laboratory Incidents Specialist where sheimplemented appropriate CAPA to minimise errors and promote best practice working alongside Royal colleges and regulatory bodies.
Prior to joining the NHS, Hema worked in pharma companies such as AstraZeneca within Process, Research & Development and Analytical Teams working on drug discovery and product development projects. Hema has also worked in regulatory affairs and has specialised knowledge and experience of working in a R&I environment across a variety of sectors with a detailed understanding of structures, policies, and governance.
