Support and engagement

Emergency and critical care avatar

We welcome expressions of interest from patients, clinicians and health professionals working in the acute sector.

If you are a patient or member of the public who would like to get involved in how we run CENECT, or input to some of our existing projects and guidance, please get in touch at the email address provided. Our trust can provide support and guidance on working with our research teams and we can discuss opportunities for project engagement. Patient and public involvement is vital to the success of nearly all research initiatives and many educational initiatives. We want to hear what you think! Have a look at the weblinks right for more from our trust on patient involvement in research and innovation, and to see examples from other national trauma centres.

If you are a clinician or health professional interested in research engagement, ask your local departmental research lead about opportunities to participate. There are multiple additional NCA resources to support research activity and engagement at all levels of seniority, including from R&I and our Centre for Clinical and Care Research.

If you are a clinician or health professional interested in academic careers, get in touch with us to discuss the potential opportunities and pathways aligned to emergency care. There are also multiple national resources to support research activity and engagement at all levels of seniority – have a look at some of the following:

Research Advice and Resources | RCEM

Integrated Academic Training | NIHR

Clinical academic careers | NHS England | Workforce, training and education (hee.nhs.uk)

If you are keen to work with CENECT on a project or interested in discussing potential opportunities for academic development, get in touch with us at the email provided. We want to grow and develop, so we need bright minds and enthusiastic colleagues!
