Salford Royal is the centre of neurological research in Greater Manchester. We are nationally renowned for our contribution to neurological and neurodegenerative research and our team also carries out research into dementia.
Whether you are involved in trialling a new treatment or completing a questionnaire, your data could help create pioneering new solutions for people living with neurological or dementia conditions.
All our research participants are well cared for by a team of friendly, dedicated and experienced nurses. Additionally, every study is supported by consultant neurologists with a speciality in that field.
- Patients share their experience of research on video: Multiple sclerosis (Christina), (Neil and Andrea)
- Consultants explain what research goes on at Salford Royal: Multiple sclerosis (Dr David Rog).
We have a safe, purpose built, clinical environment devoted specifically to our patients and research teams. During working hours we have nurses committed to answering any questions you may have through phone or email.
Research is vital in providing people with new and alternative treatments, therefore any contribution, no matter how small, can provide crucial data which could one day lead to a huge breakthrough.
If you’re affected by either a dementia or a neurological condition and are interested in helping to move treatments forward, ask your consultant or specialist nurse if there are any clinical research opportunities suitable for you.
