Our operations group includes local clinical and nursing research leads working in relevant specialty fields, such as emergency medicine (Dr Ahmed Ali), critical care (Dr Andrew Claxton) and major trauma. Our acute research delivery team (ARDT) deliver a broad portfolio of research activity, prioritised by patients and clinicians. The ARDT includes multiple enthusiastic band 6 research nurses, research practitioners and research assistants. The ARDT have been shortlisted for multiple regional awards, including Team of the Year at the last NIHR GM CRN awards 2024.
We share an office and work closely with the trauma data analyst team at Salford, who collate data on injured patients for previous entry to TARN and now to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR).
