Professor Emma Vardy is an international expert on delirium research and practice.  Delirium is a state of acute confusion due to underlying physical illness with worse outcomes than sepsis or myocardial infarction.  In this seminar she will discuss her work on this area and how analysis of data at Northern Care Alliance has contributed to knowledge in the field.  She will also describe the challenges and opportunities of translating research outputs into practice and influencing national policy.
