CCR internship to develop skills and knowledge of research

In collaboration with the Donal O’Donoghue Renal Research Centre (DRRC) and Dr Jo Das (Department of Neurology), the NCA Centre for Clinical and Care Research (CCR) is offering an internship to support a nurse, midwife, allied health professional, member of the research delivery team or other registered health or care professional (excluding medicine and dentistry) to develop their skills and knowledge of some of the wider research processes.

The internship will be specifically attached to projects in renal medicine and neurology who have provided the funding and will offer protected time for up to one day a week for up to 12 months. It is important to note that applicants do not need to specialise in these specific areas and can be from any clinical background.

Before applying, please contact Helen Hurst (helen.hurst@nca.nhs.uk) to discuss the internship or if you have any questions. You will need management approval to undertake the internship before you apply. To apply, complete the application form below and return to helen.hurst@nca.nhs.uk by 5pm on Tuesday 15 April 2025.
