Congratulations to Senior Research Nurse Pat Lambe and Senior Clinical Studies Officer Drew Norwood-Green who begin the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Advanced Leadership Programme this month.
They are following in the footsteps of Acute Research Delivery Team lead Louise Harrison, who completed the inaugural year of the programme earlier this year. As part of her course she carried out a project to improve the way we work across boundaries and organisations.
There’s strong competition for places on the prestigious programme so it is especially pleasing that Salford Royal has two members of staff involved – there are only 60 places nationwide. The course aims to develop the leadership skills of staff managing frontline research delivery and combines workplace and external learning with a strong emphasis on collaboration with peers, mentors and leaders from across CRN networks.
