The roll-out of HRA Assessment and Approval for research in England has now expanded to include a new cohort of studies. All new ethics and R+D submissions for studies, except clinical trials and investigations, will now go through the new process.
Studies that are only taking place for educational purposes are currently excluded from HRA Approval and will be assessed for inclusion at a later date.
Guidance for applicants has been updated and we strongly suggest that researchers read through this carefully before making any applications. Any questions regarding HRA Approval at Salford Royal should be directed to Natalie Garratt, R+D Lead.
It is essential that researchers do not start their research at Salford Royal until they have received confirmation from Salford R+D that they can do so.
